The Kimmelman Article

In the article, I like how honest each of the two men are. Both of them claim to be a great write or artist, but they both know that they are. Throughout the article they talk very modestly about themselves. It makes me take what they talk about in the article more seriously, like they're average people like myself. I also appreciate the fact that they don't sugar coat everything. Both of them say exactly what they are thinking. It annoys me when people suck up to others, and/or makes something seem as though it is flawless. They seem to have a well-balanced perception on art, and how it has changed.

One thing about the article that I felt was hard to understand, was the wording that each of the writers used. It was difficult for me to follow along during the reading because of the huge words that the men used. It's not their fault they have huge vocabularies, it was just confusing at some points. I had to re-read some sections in order to know what they were saying. Basically in any kind of writing, if the words are hard to comprehend I get lost and have to focus really hard. On the other hand, I learned a couple words that I hadn't known before.
